Hello Everybody it's been like forever since I posted! I know stop beating down the door to get to me! lol My new life experience over in the sand box was well HOT and BORING.... Thank goodness for HUGH! If you don't know who I am talking about then you must live under a rock!
So how is everybody here in the states! You guys never left my thoughts and I think it helps out there to know that I have great friends here! thanx....
Hello all I know I haven't written in awhile. The New Year got off with a bang of course as soon as I got back here to work they sent us to Bridgeport, California where it is colder than well lets just say that if it was any colder there would have been icicles hanging from the boys! Bridgeport is where the Marine Corps decides to do all there cold weather training. I would hate to be stationed there.... I had very limited time to get on the net there so I am here and just saying hi and hope you all are having a great New Year so far.
Back here in Jacksonville just plain SUCKS! This has to be the ARMPIT of the world lol sorry all you North Carolinians.... When 1/2 the woman you meet are missing 1/2 there teeth and look like they took a bath in a pig troth well you get the Picture......
OK, Back from the ball finally, lol it is Wed and I am just getting back to work from getting off last Fri at 0800... lol Sometimes I think to myself I don't believe I get paid to do this job! Then I think back when I was in Iraq working 12 on 12 off for 210 days straight! lol Well I guess it all evens out in the end. Ok anywho, The Marine Ball was awesome. I went Stag and had a blast. Then food was excellent, The Guest Speaker was Outstanding and the Ceremony know matter how many times I see it or even a few times of being in it always gets to me. To Reflect back on the 232 years the Marine Corps has been in existence. We reflect all of the fall Marines before us and the proud heritage and Corps Values the we follow to this day. A Marine earns the title Marine it is not given to him. Takes a little more to be on of us then the other services. A lot more sacrifice and hardships then the other services. One of the traditions in the Marine Corps Ceremony is to pass off a piece of Birthday cake from the oldest Marine at the ceremony to the youngest Marine present. This one always gets me and as I get older it amazes me that this years candidate for youngest Marine was born in 1989! lol Shit I was already out of High school! lol Ahhhh How the years pass so fast. So anyway how is everyone and whats on the menu for Turkey day! anyone have big plans?
